Riding stables on our approach lane

Eastmoors Forest Rides is an excellent riding stables very near our park. It’s just a few minutes’ walk along our approach lane.

There’s direct access to forest bridleways from the riding stables. So you can reach the nearby forest, West Moors Plantation, without having to navigate any roads at all!

About the rides

Eastmoors Forest Rides offer 1-hour hacks in the forest which are ideal for mixed ability, beginner and novice riders. Experienced riders only can go on a 1-hour canter. The staff offer help and instruction while out with you. A one-hour session costs £40 and a 1.5 hour session costs £60.

Advanced riders can take a 2.5-hour hack to Moors Valley, one of our local country parks, but this is strictly for very experienced riders whose riding would need to be assessed first. The cost is £80.

Please note that the maximum weight of a person for horse riding is 15 stone. You will need to wear long trousers and sensible shoes (no loafers or sandals). Good quality safety hats are provided and East Moors Forest Rides are fully insured.
