Jubilee celebrations at Back of Beyond

Now that Easter has passed us by, it’s time to get planning for the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee celebrations. We are treated to an extra bank holiday this year, so Thursday 2-Sunday 5 June make for a long weekend of celebrations and a great excuse for a getaway.

Over the Jubilee weekend, Monty’s Bar will be open every night until last orders at 8.30pm serving local ales, wines and spirits. We will also have our regular food trucks visit each evening across the weekend*. We’ll also be doing a special Jubilee-themed cocktail.

* On the Thursday night, we will have a Thai caterer,  in place of Giggling Gourmets.

On the Jubilee Day, Friday 3 June, we’ll be hosting a quiz (6pm, £1pp) and bingo (5pm, £1pp) in Monty’s Bar. It’ll be street-party themed at the bar so do bring along your mugs, plates and cups if you are joining us!

Jubilee-themed afternoon teas

If you are looking for a little treat, we’ll be offering Jubilee-themed afternoon teas on the Friday.

Afternoon teas cost £30 and include:

2 x Scones with cream and jam
2 x Shortbread fingers
4 x Finger sandwiches (cheese and pickle, egg mayo, ham and mustard and coronation chicken*)
2 x Jubilee-themed cupcakes
2 x Packets of crisps
Tea or coffee

*A vegetarian option is available.

Last-minute availability for a Jubilee weekend break

If you haven’t booked to stay with us over the Jubilee weekend yet, we still have some late availability in our yurt and a camping pitch in Emma’s Glade. We have additional camping/caravanning pitches available from the Saturday night. To book your stay, please follow our booking link here.
