What’s New for 2022?
We have been busy over the winter months getting the site ready for the new season. With less than a month to go until re-opening (we open again on 1 March), we thought you might like to see some of the changes you can expect at Back of Beyond…
Brand-new shower block
You’ll find a brand-new shower block in situ near to our Reception area and Monty’s Bar. The block consists of four self-contained wet rooms (complete with showers, sinks and toilets) as well as two additional WCs to service Monty’s Bar.
Our original shower block is still in place but has had a major refurbishment and now features thermostatic showers rather than push button ones. There’s now also underfloor heating in place and beautiful Italian tiles being put in.
Lots of planting!
Anyone who’s stayed with us before will know that the environment and sustainability are very important to us. We have continued with our tree planting and have added hundreds of native shrubs to the site.
A big thank you to wardens Jude and Julie for all their hard work planting them!
We have also been clearing and removing debris from around the lake to make them healthier and even more wildlife-friendly.
New elsan point
An additional elsan point has been added to the site, you will be able to find this near to Reception.
More Astroturf pitches
We have added to the number of Astroturf pitches now on the site, these are suitable for both caravans and motorhomes.

We are now taking bookings for the year and are looking forward to welcoming guests old and new to the site this year. Plus, for 2022, we will also be opening for the Christmas/New Year period.
