What’s new for 2023
Happy New Year!
It’s now our closed season, after a busy 2022 it’s time to get the site ready for another year ahead.
We are looking forward to welcoming guests again from 1 March.
Here are some of the new things that’ll be happening on site this year…
New hedging
Whilst it’s quiet on site, we’ll be busy planting and replacing some of the hedging around pitches with more established shrubs to create more privacy for our guests. The hedging which we did have in place was native plants but unfortunately due to the unique geology of this area, it didn’t always take as best we had hoped. Now, new laurel hedging will go in in areas that haven’t taken.
New wardens
We’ll have some new wardens joining us for the 2023 season; Julie and Keith. Some of you may recognise them as they have helped us out on site from time to time before. We’d like to welcome them to the team on a more permanent basis.
New entrance barrier will be installed
To help increase guest security, we’ll be installing a new entrance barrier to our site.
Take a look at our Reception shop
We’ll be stocking new products in our site shop so look out for springtime gifts along with our local produce such as the ever-popular Mermaid gin!
Fire pits for our glamping accommodation
Each of our glamping units now has its own permanent fire pit on site, which our glampers are welcome to use. Wood for the fire pits can be purchased from Reception.
Snug area at Monty’s Bar
In December, warden Mick was busy creating a brand-new snug area at Monty’s Bar which is a great place to be on those colder nights.
Band nights
We’ll be running some band nights again in 2023. Although dates are still to be announced, we’ll be adding these to our events page and social media as soon as they are firmed up. We are hoping to see the return of Otis Jay Blues Band and The Blue Tides again as we received some excellent feedback from our guests.
